YOGA GROUP CLASSES (HATHA YOGA)

Group classes are usually held at YWC. A few classes are held in small closed groups close by to the practitioner’s residence at a time best suited for them. These classes are conducted three to four times a day across all days of the week.

The weekend classes provide practitioners with the chance to rejuvenate themselves post the extensive hours at work at their offices and homes.

Group classes focus on the basics and are designed for the long term. The classes are structured keeping in mind the needs of the smaller group. This is usually supported with individual counselling sessions if needed.

Why a group class:

Group Classes come recommended by YWC because it goes a long way to motivate, energize and inspire yoga practitioners. It also provides consistency to the practitioner: where you might be tempted to miss a private class by cancelling, you are more likely to attend a group class because your friends are attending it too. Group classes at the center are particularly popular because it gives aspirants the chance to practice yoga with friends, help each other with poses, and share experiences regarding meditation and Yoga. The peer support that the group classes offer often results in great camaraderie, higher attendance and ultimately improved practices.

The library is a large repository for the Yoga student in search of textual references for their asana/pranayama practices and larger spiritual quests.

Class schedule and fee structure to be attached or in table.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation by psychic sleep or deep relaxation with inner awareness. In Yoga Nidra, the aspirants go through different states of experiences which progressively rid the mind of heavy tension, induce physical and nervous tranquility, and also bring the state of meditation and awareness of inner knowledge. Lack of proper rest and sleep, are the main causes of a dysfunctional immunity.

DETOX KRIYA (SHATKARMAS)

Saturday - 6 AM (On Request)

Detox the body and mind the yogic way, with the Shatkarmas; safe, simple and effective cleansing techniques that have been practiced by yogis for thousands of years. Originally, they were developed in order to create harmony in the body and mind to prepare the body further for deeper meditation practices. These practices purify the different systems of the body (i.e. digestive, respiratory, circulatory, etc) by eliminating toxins so that energy can flow freely and the Yoga aspirant can attain perfect health. Once learned under expert guidance, they can be applied at home for lasting well-being.

At YWC, we teach three different types of Shatkarmas to suit every individual on request. These are:

Jala Neti: Cleansing of the nasal passage

Kunjal Kriya: Cleansing of the stomach
